Address your concerns over adventitious presence with GENETRUESM, a rapid and reliable immunoassay and bioassay-testing suite. Governments and businesses around the world accept Illinois Crop Improvement test reports. Certificates, AOSCA labels, or the trademarked IP logo can be used on products that have been produced under an approved grain or seed program. GENETRUESM utilizes ELISA and rapid bioassay tests that meet the needs of today’s Non-GMO market. Commitment to service includes custom testing packages and translating results and statistics into information that you and your customers can use. Procedures and standards developed by our Registered Genetic Technologist allow you to partner with Illinois Crop Improvement and confidently enter markets that do not recognize “lab X.”

Molecular based immunoassays were implemented with the introduction of our Non-GMO soybean IP programs. ELISAs (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assays) and LF (Lateral Flow Immunoassays) are the workhorses of Non-GMO testing in many crops both in the lab and in the field. ELISA and other immunoassays are not as susceptible to cross contamination as other molecular techniques. As new technologies become available Illinois Crop Improvement will continue to evaluate their suitability for routine seed and grain testing. Robust methods serve as the foundation of Illinois Crop Improvement’s testing program. On a routine basis, ELISA compliments the bioassays for herbicide traits and hits the nail on the head for many of the insect resistance traits.

Reliable, timely and accessible results from Illinois Crop Improvement will make your business more manageable and more efficient. Test results are available electronically in real time and can be sorted, printed or downloaded to your system. Integrated sample tracking allows the Greenhouse Program and Seed Laboratory to use the same tracking number for your trait and germination samples. Download your results to add your own tracking and organizational information. Expand the possibilities, not your filing system!
